Questions
What's free, what a payment buys, and what happens to the work you did before you signed up. If it isn't here, write to us.
Trying it
Do I need an account to try it?
No. “Try it now” opens a real workspace straight away, with no email and no card. It arrives with a sample room and a few guests already on it, so there is something to drag before you have typed anything.
What happens to that work if I sign up?
It stays yours. Adding an email and a password to a demo upgrades the session you are already in, so every event, guest and table you laid out comes with you. Nothing is copied across and nothing is left behind.
Can I import a guest list I already have?
Yes, Excel or CSV. Columns are matched by their headings, so first and last name, email, party size and dietary notes are picked up wherever they sit, and the headings do not have to be on the first row. A party of four becomes four individually seatable people rather than one row hiding three of them.
What it costs
What can I do for free?
Build the whole thing, at any size. Nothing stops you adding a three-hundredth guest, laying out the room, seating every table and seeing the finished chart on screen. The guest list is never capped.
Then what am I paying for?
Taking it out of the app: the PDF chart, the Excel guest list, and printing straight from the page. Up to 15 guests that is free as well, so a small dinner costs nothing from start to printed chart.
How much, and is it a subscription?
€12 for one event, once. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel. You pay for the event you are working on, not for the month.
Does that last forever?
It lasts 1 year from the day you pay. A seating plan is built in the weeks before the day, once the RSVPs have landed, so a year is far longer than the job takes. If you come back later, the event can be unlocked again.
Can I have more than one event?
One free event at a time. Paying for the one you are on frees the slot, so the next one starts free again.
Building the plan
How many people can sit at one table?
Up to 60. That clears a long banquet table or a row of ceremony chairs with room to spare; past it the seats stop being individually readable anyway.
What if I drop someone onto a chair that's taken?
The two swap places. Whoever was sitting there moves to where the arrival came from, which is the unseated list if that is where they were. A seat only ever holds one person.
Can I reuse a layout for next year?
Duplicating an event copies the room, and the guest list too if you want it. The copy is a new event, so it starts free and needs its own unlock before it can be downloaded.
Your account
I've forgotten my password.
Use forgot your password, or the same link on the sign-in page. We email you a link that takes you straight to setting a new one. It works once, and it can be opened on any device, so a link that reaches your phone is as good as one on the machine you asked from.
That link only lets you set a password. Wander off to another page before you do and it drops you back at the form, which is deliberate: reaching the mailbox should not quietly be the same as being signed in.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, from your account page. Deleting the account takes every event, guest list and floor plan with it, including events you have paid to unlock, and it cannot be undone. What we store and why is set out in Privacy.
